Last week we witnessed Toledo almost knock off Ohio State. It came down to the last seconds in the game. #15 Ohio State had trouble with their defense, and to be exact their pass defense. Eric Paige, Toledo’s receiver had 12 catches for 145 and 2 touchdowns. Another guy that Ohio State had a problem with was Adonis Thomas, the starting Running Back for the Rockets. Thomas had 6 catches for 111 yards, plus he had 47 yards on the ground and a touchdown.

Kellen Moore to Grace Cover of Sports Illustrated

According to the Idaho Statesman’s Chad Crippe, Kellen Moore and the Boise State Broncos will be featured on 1 of 2 regional copies of Sports Illustrated for the Week of September 12, 2011. The other regional cover will feature the LSU Tigers. This will be the 3rd time in 2 years the Broncos have been featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated. The story, by Lars Anderson, is titled “It’s Go Time – Boise State is BCS Busting (Again)”

UPDATE: Chad Crippe Tweeted the cover for Boise State is limited to Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Montana, Wyoming and Colorado. Also here is a link to the LSU SI Cover.

When looking back at 2005 the most sensitive subject for Boise State fans, Jared Zabransky.  For most Georgia fans, that same name brings back memories of domination. When looking at the upcoming match up September 3rd, Georgia fans feel like they are going to be reliving the past. Another big name Boise State QB is coming into Georgia who is going to receive another “reality check”. After all Jared Zabransky came to the game in Athens with a lot of hype, and we all saw what happened in that game right? For the most part, from an outsider perspective, I am sure that perspective works. What is the reality of the situation though? Is Kellen Moore coming into Atlanta much like Zabransky went into Athens before him?

After the loss at Reno on November 26th the Broncos hopes and dreams of getting to the National Championship game were crushed. But on December 23rd Boise State is going to try and show America that they can beat another ranked opponent. If they can beat the Utah Utes it will be their 4 ranked opponent they will have beaten.

College Football Examiner Las Vegas Bowl Interview
