Boise State Athletics Revenue from 2006-2011

Interesting information here.  Boise State’s Athletic department earned $37.5 Million in Revenue in 2011.  Interesting numbers in all of this is Coaching Salaries have gone from $7.6 million in 2006 to $12.8 million in 2011.  Rights/Licensing fell $3.5M year over year from $10 Million during 2010 to $6.5 Million during 2011.  The full information from the USA Today about BSU and other Universities can be found here.

Chris Petersen to Oregon Not So Fast

So, here we go again another possible job lurking in the shadows about to come and scoop up Chris Petersen. Boise State fans have heard it a million times, no way Chris Petersen would ever turn down this school, this pay jump, this competition increase, this opportunity. Only to sit back knowing that no way Chris Petersen would ever take the job being thrown at him. However, if the Oregon job does come calling expect a different level of anxiety from the fan-base. I know I personally have always looked at Oregon as the biggest threat to steal Coach Pete. They are after all in many ways like Boise State with just a ton more financial backing. A Fan’s Guide to the Maaco Bowl Las Vegas

The final game of the year is here – Boise State versus Arizona State in the Maaco Bowl Las Vegas.  Going to the game?  Not sure but want to know the details?  Here you go!

First the Game Details

The Maaco Bowl Las Vegas will be held Thursday December 22 at 6:00 PM Mountain time at Sam Boyd Stadium.  Your Boise State Broncos (11-1) will be taking on the Arizona State University Sun Devils (6-6).  Tickets are available through Idahotickets.com unlv.tickets.com and StubHub along with some other less reliable websites and street corners.  The game will be televised on ESPN.

NCAA – Boise State Cited For Major Violations In Five Sports

Boise State University was cited for multiple violations in various sports, according to findings announced today by the Division I Committee on Infractions. The case included numerous major violations involving more than 75 prospects and student-athletes in five sports over the course five years. The involved sports included football, men’s and women’s cross country and track and field, and men’s and women’s tennis. The vast majority of the violations found by the committee were agreed upon by the university.

Do We Need to Worry About Toledo?


Last week we witnessed Toledo almost knock off Ohio State. It came down to the last seconds in the game. #15 Ohio State had trouble with their defense, and to be exact their pass defense. Eric Paige, Toledo’s receiver had 12 catches for 145 and 2 touchdowns. Another guy that Ohio State had a problem with was Adonis Thomas, the starting Running Back for the Rockets. Thomas had 6 catches for 111 yards, plus he had 47 yards on the ground and a touchdown.
