Introducing the LTD Arctic Metal Series

The LTD Black Metal Series, which launched in 2018, quickly became one of our most popular collections of guitars due to their brutal aesthetic look and streamlined performance with a crushing sound. For 2021, we’ve taken the same concept and flipped the color theme from the darkest of blacks to the coldest of frozen wastelands with the new LTD Arctic Metal Series. We’re launching this series with five new guitar models: the Arrow-NT Arctic Metal, the EC Arctic Metal, the M-HT Arctic Metal, the M-7BHT Arctic Metal, and the Phoenix Arctic Metal.

All Arctic Metal Series guitars have Snow White Satin finishes with stainless steel frets, a Macassar ebony fingerboard with no inlays and glow-in-the-dark side markers, and black hardware. They all include a single aggressive-sounding EMG 81TW pickup with a push-pull control for coil splitting.

A Whole New World for the LTD TL Series

The TL Series was designed for musicians who wanted the sound of an acoustic guitar, but with the playing comfort and fast feel of an electric guitar. For 2021, we’re unveiling a truly remarkable new TL Series guitar with the TL-7, the first 7-string model in this series. It gives you the expanded range you need for specialized music forms, with the lowest string typically tuned to B. The TL-7 has high-quality components like a Graphtech Nubone XB nut and saddle, Grover tuners, a Fishman SONICORE pickup, and Fishman TL-3 preamp with onboard tuner.

New Choices in LTD Deluxe EC Series

Let’s get started with four outstanding new additions to the EC-1000 Series. We have two new EC-1000T CTM guitars, available in Tobacco Sunburst Satin and See Thru Black Cherry finishes. The “T” stands for “traditional”, referring to this model’s full-thickness body that’s chambered for weight relief. Some of the highlights include Fishman Open Core Classic pickups (with push-pull control for voice selection), and 22 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets.

With the EC-1000 EverTune BB, the “BB” stands for this guitar’s extra-thick metallic silver bold binding, which you’ll notice right away. But this guitar is more than great looking, with its set of EMG 60TW-R (neck) and EMG 81 (bridge) pickups, with a push-pull control to split the neck pickup. It offers 24 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets and the acclaimed EverTune constant tension bridge to keep your guitar in perfect tune under almost all circumstances.

The LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Gold Andromeda has a completely mind-blowing iridescent finish that emits different hues as light is reflected from different angles. This guitar, with gold hardware that complements its finish, comes with a set of Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker pickups… Alnico in the neck, and Ceramic in the bridge, with a push-pull voice selection control. LTD Black Metal Series Expands

When we first launched the LTD Black Metal Series in 2018, we had no idea how popular it would be. Since then, we’ve continued to add new models to this outstanding collection of guitars and basses that all use the same theme of all-black finish and hardware, glow-in-the-dark side markers, and a streamlined one pickup, one volume control design.

The EC-FR Black Metal adds a Floyd Rose 1000 bridge to the already-cool EC-Black Metal. This guitar also features stainless steel frets, a single direct-mount Seymour Duncan Blackened Black Winter pickup, and a push-pull control on the volume knob for coil-splitting.

One of our more extreme guitar shapes now has a place in the Black Metal Series with the F Black Metal. It’s a neck-thru-body design with an extra thin U-shaped neck, a Floyd Rose 1000 bridge, a direct-mount EMG 81 pickup with special black logo, an EMG TKO kill switch, and stainless steel frets. Another exciting shape, the LTD Arrow, now has a Black Metal version with a TonePros locking bridge and string-thru-body design. It’s a bolt-on design at 34” scale, and features a single direct-mount EMG 35CS pickup with special black logo, as well as Grover tuners, a Gotoh bridge, and stainless steel frets.

New ESP USA Guitars

When we launched the ESP USA Series in 2014, we couldn’t have known how quickly that these instruments, built by master luthiers at our shop in Southern California, would gain acceptance to become known among the highest-quality guitars available today. Each ESP USA guitar model can be personalized with many choices in woods, finishes, components, and hardware using our online configurator. For 2021, three new ESP USA models are being added to the growing line: the USA Eclipse FR, the USA Eclipse Semi-Hollow, and the USA M-7 Baritone Hardtail.

The ESP USA Eclipse FR adds an Original Floyd Rose bridge to this classic single-cutaway guitar shape. The USA Eclipse FR offers a chambered mahogany body, with optional flamed maple and quilted maple tops and a wide variety of gloss and satin translucent finishes to allow the figured wood grain to be highlighted (and plain maple caps for solid color finishes). Built with set-thru construction at 24.75” scale, it includes a three-piece mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard with 22 extra-jumbo Jescar stainless steel frets and mother-of-pearl split-flag inlays. Components include Sperzel Trim-Lok tuners, Dunlop strap locks, a bone nut, and a variety of top-tier Seymour Duncan (passive) and EMG (active) pickup models. The ESP USA Eclipse Semi-Hollow is an all-new design. Based on the Eclipse shape, this guitar is the first ESP USA model to be offered with a semi-hollow mahogany body. Like other ESP USA Series models, the USA Eclipse Semi-Hollow can be personalized with top woods, finishes, and selection of pickups and hardware. It offers set-thru construction at 24.75” scale, and includes stainless steel frets, mother-of-pearl fingerboard inlays, and high-end components. The ESP USA M-7 Baritone is a 7-string baritone guitar with bolt-on construction at 27” scale. This guitar has a mahogany body with three-piece maple neck, ebony fingerboard, a Hipshot hardtail bridge, Sperzel locking Tuners, and choice of finish, top wood, pickup and hardware selections.

New and Updated ESP E-II Guitars

Formerly called “ESP Standard”, all ESP E-II instruments are created at our ESP factory in Tokyo, Japan, and are designed for professional players who accept no compromises in tone, feel, or reliability for their guitars and basses. For 2021, we have some excellent new E-II guitars, including new models and updated finishes and components for some of our existing greatest hits.

Killer E-II Eclipses Heading Your Way

Let’s start this look at “New for 2021” E-II models with four great new Eclipse models. The E-II Eclipse Full Thickness is exactly as the name implies… a body with traditionally thick design. It comes in two flavors: Tobacco Sunburst finish with a set of Fishman Fluence Open Core Classic Humbucker pickups and push-pull controls to activate three different voicings, and Vintage Honey Burst with a set of Seymour Duncan '59 Chrome and JB Chrome pickups that offer push-pull controls to split each pickup. Both models also offer a satin finish on the back for super smooth playability, crème binding, and high-end components like Gotoh locking tuners, a Gotoh TOM bridge and tailpiece, a bone nut, and Dunlop locking strap buttons.
