Samsung introduced six new phones to its popular Galaxy A series on Wednesday. There are two 5G phones and four 4G phones. Two of the four 4G phones will be available starting Thursday. The base Galaxy A01 phone will be available in the US for $110 (about £90 or AU$180) along with the A51 LTE phone, which costs $400 (£329, AU$599). International pricing details aren't yet available for all models, but the 4G LTE versions of the A51 and A71 are already on sale in the UK and Australia. The 5G models will cost £429 for the A51 and £519 for the A71, which converts to about AU$850 and AU$1,030 respectively.

The Galaxy A01 is the smallest and cheapest of the new phones. It features a 5.7-inch HD display, offers 16GB storage and 2GB RAM. It has a dual-camera setup led by a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 3,000-mAh battery. Meanwhile, the LTE version of the Galaxy A51 has a 6.5-inch HD display, 128GB of storage and 4GB RAM. It's also got a four-camera setup led by a 48-megapixel sensor, and a 4,000-mAh battery. It has a more modern design and a less noticeable notch than the A01. At $400 (£329, AU$599), it's the most expensive 4G phone in this year's Galaxy A Series.

Based on the specs sheet, the two phones don't have much in common. But both have the option to expand your storage by 512GB and the presence of headphone jacks, which is something that appears in all six of the 2020 Galaxy A phones.


In between those two phones are the Galaxy A11 for $180 and the Galaxy A21 selling for $250, which will be released in the summer. Both of these phones have 4,000-mAh batteries and are similar in size and memory. The main differences are in their camera setups. Where the A11 has a tri-camera module on the rear, led by a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera, the A21 has four cameras on the rear with a 16-megapixel main sensor.
