Spring is here and I thought it is the perfect time to create flowers theme related preschool materials. I have created a set of free flower flashcards. Other than using it as flashcards to aid your lesson, I also like to use it for matching activity.
Print two sets of the flower cards and use them to play memory game with your preschoolers to help them practice to match identical pictures. Although I am pretty sure all of you know how to play memory game, I will include the instructions just in case.
How to play memory game:
Mix up the cards.
Lay them in rows, face down.
Turn over any two cards.
If the two cards match, keep them.
If they don't match, turn them back over
The game is completed when all cards have been matched
I have created four versions of the flashcards which you can choose from according to your liking. You will receive all four versions in one file.

Six Little Dots
Represented by the same colorful textured dots featured in the Six Dots Game of Cards, Six Little Dots storybook introduces and names Dots 1 through 6 as they each take their proper place in a braille cell. Text is provided in large print and durable silkscreened braille (contracted Unified English Braille). The tactile illustrations are interactive. Little Dot 1—sliding on elastic—hops and moves about, exploring different dot positions along the way. The last pages of the book provide a display and a game wheel for the child to play “Which Little Dot Am I?”
Intended to be read aloud and shared with children with visual impairments, ages three years and up, Six Little Dots encourages fingertip texture discrimination and exposure to spatial concepts—top, middle, bottom, above, below, and under. For students ready to be introduced to dot positions and names, it offers a fun approach to this step in their learning.
Written by Philippe Claudet, Six Little Dots is produced for APH by the award-winning French tactile book publisher, Les Doigts Qui Rêvent (LDQR).
