Destiny final boss sniper

Destiny final boss sniper DEFAULT

Destiny 2’s version of the original Destiny raid, Vault of Glass, is nearly here. The raid brings most of its iconic arsenal back with it, including weapons like Fatebringer and Vision of Confluence. And while the raid isn’t out just yet, fans have already jumped into the database to figure out which items drop from specific encounters.

In this Destiny 2 Vault of Glass guide, we’ll show you a loot table for Vault of Glass and all the different weapon rolls you can earn.

The loot table

Image: Reddit user Testifye

Reddit user Testifye created this handy loot table for the Vault of Glass and its five encounters.

While the raid isn’t out, Testifye used data from the Cache of Kabr chest at the end of the raid, where players can spend Spoils of Conquest to get loot from specific encounters, like the final chest in the Deep Stone Crypt raid. Testifye the Redditor did say that they did make changes to their Deep Stone Crypt loot pool post-launch, so it’s possible that the same could happen for Vault of Glass.

According to their research into the API, each encounter can drop two armor pieces and three weapons. It’s not on the table, but the Vex Mythoclast Exotic should also drop from the raid’s final boss fight, Atheon.

Here are all the weapons that drop from Vault of Glass and what kinds of perks they can roll with. Check out our story on Timelost weapons and guns that didn’t seem to make it into this version of Vault of Glass for more information.

How to get the Apostate Sniper Rifle in Destiny 2

The apostate is a legendary sniper rifle that was introduced to Destiny 2 with the Shadowkeep expansion. It is a sniper rifle that deals bow damage.

To get the Apostate Sniper Rifle, you will need to complete the Altar of Sorrows on the Moon public activity. You can find the Altar of Sorrows on your map in the Director when you have completed the Shadowkeep storyline. Once this part of the story is over, visit Eris Morn, who will give you a mission that will grant you access to the Altar of Sorrows.

The Altar of Sorrows gives revolving rewards, which change daily. If you've completed the event and it doesn't drop the correct weapon, just come back the next day and try again. If it still doesn't drop, the reward you want will definitely come the next day. The rewards can be the Apostate Sniper Rifle, Heretic Rocket Launcher, and Blasphemer Shotgun. To get the weapon reward, you will need to kill the final boss by surviving up to level 5.

Weapons have a 100% chance of dropping but will have random rolls, so you may need to run the event for a while to get a great roll. For PvP, you'll want something like a fluted barrel, precise towers, moving target, and box breathing. If you prefer to stay on the move in the Crucible, then Quickdraw or Snapshot Sights as an end benefit would be better. You might want to experiment with Disorient Shield as a third perk, but Moving Target will deliver more consistent perks, while Disorient Shield is very situational.

Destiny 2: Riven Boss Guide (Last Wish Raid)

Riven is the final boss of the Last Wish raid, and fighting her is one of the most challenging experiences that Destiny 2 has to offer.

Riven is the final boss of the Last Wish raid, and fighting her is one of the most challenging experiences in all of the end-game content available in Destiny 2. Furthermore, defeating Riven is not the end of the raid itself. After she lays dead, Guardians will have to make one final stand bringing her heart from one location to the next, all while fighting off Taken enemies from the inside of the heart of Riven.

For this boss fight, the best weapons are going to be a mix of precision and heavy damaging weapons. Unlike the previous bosses in the Last Wish raid, there will be several times in the fight against Riven where Guardians will want to have pinpoint accuracy, and nothing more. Highly accurate Auto Rifles, like Destiny 2's Chroma Rush Override weapon from Season of the Splicer, are a great choice to bring. They'll serve multiple purposes, including defeating lesser enemies and damaging Riven. It is best to bring a Sniper Rifle and or a long-range Machine Gun, and, depending on which weapon is chosen, a Fusion Rifle or Linear Fusion Rifle.

Start this Last Wish raid encounter by dividing into two teams of three, and have one team travel left and the other right. Standing on the three glowing plates on each side will start the encounter, dropping all Guardians down past Riven. Follow the pathway through the respective side's door until two new chambers are reached. One of two things will happen in these chambers, either Riven will show her head, or Taken enemies will have to be defeated. Riven will eventually pop her head into both chambers, but she does different things each time she shows herself. No Destiny 2Champions are present during this fight.

Destiny 2 Last Wish Raid: How to beat Riven

For the chamber where Riven does not show her face first, a Taken Knight will spawn, and when it dies it will drop an Eye of Riven. One Guardian from the trio must pick up the and stand where the Knight spawned. They should see a symbol when they face the center of their Last Wish raid chamber, and call it out to their teammates. Another teammate is going to stand on the platform on the opposite side of the chamber from where the Knight spawned, and they'll many different symbols, some of which are from Destiny 2's Shattered Throne dungeon.

While continuously standing on the platform, direct the teammate with the Eye of Riven to the symbol they called out. While holding the Eye of Riven, this teammate must use their grenade ability to cleanse the symbol. Eventually, both sides will have to do this part, twice, and whoever picks up the Eye of Riven the first time cannot pick it up again in the Last Wish raid.

For the team that has Riven spawn in first, dodge her tentacle swing and fire breathing attacks. While dodging, shoot the tentacle and the inside of her mouth to get her to flinch. The Destiny 2's Xenophage Exotic Machine Gun is a great choice for making Riven flinch throughout the Last Wish raid. When Riven flinches, her outer shell will open up to reveal her eyes. Two of the ten eyes will be glowing, and it's up to this team to remember and call out which eyes are glowing for the other team. Calling Riven's eyes out is easier when they're each given a designation. For example, from left to right, a common way of referring to Riven's eyes are:

  • L1 (Furtherest Eye Left)
  • L2
  • L3
  • L4
  • L5 (The left eye in the center of Riven's face)
  • R1 (The right eye in the center of Riven's face)
  • R2
  • R3
  • R4
  • R5 (Furthest Eye Right)

After Riven flinches, she will leave the first chamber and head to the second. The team that just flinched her will have to complete the Eye of Riven taken puzzle, while the second team fighting her must damage her and shoot the appropriate eyes. Riven will open her mouth in preparation for an attack that will make the entire team start this Last Wish raid encounter over. Using a weapon that is easy to control, like one of Destiny 2's many Hand Cannons, shoot the Taken material forming in her mouth until she closes her mouth. Next, shoot the two eyes that the first team had called out originally. Shooting any other eye will result in the entire Fireteam wiping. Afterward, Riven will retreat again and both teams will turn around to a lift that brings them to the second floor. The entire process up to this point will be repeated on the second floor until both teams can go up the next lift to the original throne room where they all dropped down from.

Defeat all of the lesser taken enemies in the throne room, or as many as possible, before Riven shows up. She will once again use her tentacle and fire-breathing attacks, but using a weapon like the Null Composure Fusion Rifle will get her to stop quickly. Continue to attack her until she flinches and shows her two glowing eyes. Two at a time, Riven will eventually show six different glowing eyes in total. The Fireteam should split up each pair of eyes between two teammates at a time during this part of the Last Wish raid. For example:

  • Guardian One is responsible for L2
  • Guardian Two is responsible for R4
  • Guardian Three is responsible for R2
  • Guardian Four is responsible for L5
  • Guardian Five is responsible for L3
  • Guardian Six is responsible for R1

After the last pair of eyes is shown, Riven will move once more and return with the Taken material in her mouth. Shoot as much of it as possible, and she will take heavy damage. After she closes her mouth, Riven's outer shell will open again. All 10 eyes will be shown, but the six that were shown before have to be shot. If the wrong eye is shot then the team will wipe, and the encounter will start over (which is why it's best that one Guardian is only responsible for one eye). After all of her eyes are shot, Riven will retreat, and each player will have to return to the original plate that they started the encounter on.

Once each plate is stood on, the floor will drop down, and once more the Guardians will slowly fall. This time, Taken bubbles will be all over her body. Shoot them for some massive damage, hopefully bringing her down to the last bit of health separated on her health bar. If not, this Destiny 2 encounter just starts as it did in the beginning.

When the final portion of Riven's health bar is reached the whole Fireteam will be transported to a Taken Realm that damages each player slowly over time. Navigate through the pathway until the single orb of Taken Strength is reached. Grab the orb, and all six Fireteam members will be teleported back to the throne room, even the ones that may have died along the way. Riven will reappear in the throne room, and she needs to be shot in the mouth until she looks like she is dead (Destiny 2's Ascendancy Rocket Launcher will finisher her quickly). Travel inside her body through her mouth until her heart is reached. Destroy her heart, and this Last Wish raid encounter finally ends. Return Riven's heart to the Vault beginning to complete the Last Wish raid.

Final boss sniper destiny

There’s a new secret exotic that you can discover in Destiny 2: Season of the Chosen. It’s the Dead Man’s Tale scout rifle, and it’s the reward after completing “The Presage” quest. However, you do need to beat the final boss called the Locus of Communion. Thankfully, there are ways to make the encounter a lot easier. Here’s our guide to help you cheese the Locus of Communion boss fight.

Note: For more information, check out our Destiny 2: Season of the Chosenguides and features hub. Likewise, please be reminded that this guide contains spoilers.

Destiny 2: Season of the Chosen – How to cheese the Locus of Communion boss fight

Once you’ve reached the end of the Glykon derelict ship, you’ll see a spot that lets you plant a raid banner. That’s your sign that the Locus of Communion is nearby. Anyway, this was my loadout for this encounter:

  • Kinetic – Succession sniper rifle
  • Energy – Shadow Price auto rifle
  • Power – The Lament exotic sword

You could try other weapons, but these were my picks when I defeated the boss. The sniper rifle (preferably something that rolled with Vorpal Weapon) is your main source of DPS. The auto rifle, meanwhile, is for mob clearing (the Shadow Price is Arc which is useful against Arc-shielded Scorn chieftains). Lastly, The Lament is also for mobs since the blocking combined with healing does help out. There are some Solar-shielded chieftains, too, which makes it helpful.

All right, let’s go ahead and discuss the encounter itself. You can refer to the pages below for the parts that you need help with:

Updated Destiny 2 Prophecy Loot Table: Weapons & Armor

Many consider Prophecy the best Destiny dungeon to date, and I tend to agree. It was completely unexpected, it was available for free, and more importantly, it was amazing (and still is).

Prophecy has always been a must-do weekly activity: It’s fun and rewarding.

But on top of rewarding some of the best-looking armor in the game, it now offers great weapons too, in the form of the reprised Trials of the Nine weapons. But are they among the best in the game?

Destiny 2 Prophecy Loot Table

This table covers all the Prophecy loot per encounter, including weapons and armor:

On top of rewarding loot when completing encounters, the dungeon also has 2 hidden chests. This updated Prophecy guide can help you in case you still don’t know how to tackle each encounter.

Prophecy hidden chests

There are two hidden chests in Prophecy, and each has the chance to reward with any Weapon or Armor piece already acquired from prior successful encounters.

There are methods to access one of the two chests solo, using glitches… But the dungeon is so short, I would just recommend finding a team and going for it!

Destiny 2 Prophecy Trials of the Nine Weapons

This is a more detailed look at all the Trials of the Nine weapons that are now part of the Prophecy dungeon’s loot.

None of the old Prophecy weapons were exactly “S Tier”, mainly because other weapons, such as those found in the Deep Stone Crypt or Vault of Glass raids, are excellent. But these new additions have the potential to shake up the Meta:

Destiny 2 Prophecy Armor

Unlike any other raid or dungeon ever released in Destiny 2, the Prophecy dungeon does not have one armor set to chase, but two.

Originally, only the old Trials of the Nine armor sets from Destiny 2 Year 1 were planned to be part of the Prophecy dungeon’s loot:

Destiny 2 Trials of the Nine armor set

But at the last minute, Bungie decided to also take the armor set that was planned for the Eververse store and add it as loot for the dungeon.

I’m talking, of course, about the great-looking Moonfang-X7 armor sets:

Moonfang X7 armor Destiny 2

And as you can see, both armor sets look great.

The Last Word

The Prophecy dungeon is hands down one of the best PVE activities in the entire game right now. Not only because it has great armor sets to offer (their aesthetics alone are top-notch), but also because the newly added Trials of the Nine weapons are excellent too.

How about you? Have you experienced Prophecy before? What gear are you going to be chasing this time around?

Now discussing:

Destiny 2: Fallen S.A.B.E.R. Grandmaster Nightfall Guide

It's the fourth week of Grandmaster Nightfalls in Destiny 2 Season of the Chosen. Last week, we had one of the hardest Grandmaster Nightfalls in the game - Proving Grounds, which was added in the game in Season of the Chosen. One of the major incentives for players to the farm last week's strike was the new Adept version of The Palindrome hand cannon, which was introduced this season as well, along with the double Nightfall rewards.

Related: Destiny 2 Guardian Games 2021: Everything We Know So Far

This week, we have Fallen S.A.B.E.R. for the Grandmaster Nightfall. Compared to Proving Grounds, Fallen S.A.B.E.R. is a walk in the park. However, there are some areas in this strike that are still a bit challenging. For instance, the final boss room. As always, in order to play these Grandmaster Nightfall strikes, you need to be Power Level 1325. Below, you can find everything from recommended mods, exotic armor, the featured weapon, to a complete walkthrough for the Fallen S.A.B.E.R. GM nightfall strike.

Fallen S.A.B.E.R. Grandmaster Nightfall Reward

The SWARM (Adept) machine gun is back this week. Last time, it was available in the first GM nightfall released in the game. This machine gun was added in Destiny 2 with the release of Season of the Chosen. For players, who are going for the normal version of this weapon would need to complete the Fallen S.A.B.E.R. Nightfall strike (not the Grandmaster version).

As for the random rolls on this weapon, below are some you should keep an eye out when grinding GM Nightfalls:

  • Corkscrew Rifling, Accurized Rounds, Killing Wind, and Vorpal Weapon
  • Arrowhead Brake, Tactical Mag, Outlaw, and Dragonfly
  • Chambered Compensator, Appended Mag, Surplus, and One for All

Modifiers for this week's Grandmaster Nightfall can be found below:

  • Arach-No!: When defeated, Fallen Vandals spawn a web mine at their feet.
  • Overload Champions: Requires Overload mod.
  • Barrier Champions: Requires Anti-Barrier mod.
  • Chaff: Radar is disabled.
  • Contest Mode
  • Match Game: Enemy shields are highly resistant to all unmatched elemental damage.
  • Extra Shields
  • Equipment Locked: Players can’t change their loadout and abilities once the Nightfall has started.
  • Extinguish: If your Fireteam dies in a Restricted Zone, you will return to orbit.
  • Limited Revives: You have limited revives but defeating champions will grant you more revives.
  • S.A.B.E.R. Protocol: Incoming Solar and environmental damage increased.

Exotic Armor

Now, let's talk about the exotic armor pieces. For Warlocks, you can run either defense or offensive. For Defense strat, you need to run with Well of Radiance with Phoenix Protocol chest armor. However, if you're aiming to run-n-gun the whole strike, running with Chaos Reach with Geomag Stabilizers would be optimal here.

Hunters have two choices, as well. You can either run with its Stasis super - Revenant, with Aeon Swift exotic gauntlets. Or, you can use the bottom tree Nightstalker super with the new exotic chest piece - Omnioculus. This will allow you to help your teammates by vanishing them in smoke.

Titans only have one choice here, run with Ursa Furiosa and Sentinel super. This will allow Titans to pop their supers in the final boss room when there are tons of ads shooting at you.

For weapons, since there are overload and barrier champions in this strike, you should go with a Sniper in the primary slot, a submachine or a bow in energy, and a rocket launcher or Anarchy in the heavy slot.

For the primary slot, you can use the Succession or Eye of Sol sniper rifle. An alternative option would be to use Izanagi's Burden exotic sniper.

RELATED: I Wish More Devs Would Leave Bugs Intact Like Bungie

For energy slots, some of the bows you can use here are; Point of the Stag, Imperial Needle, Arsenic Bite-4B. You can also use exotic bows like Le Monarque, and Trinity Ghoul, but that would compromise your Anarchy or Izanagi's Burden which was used to DPS the boss and clear out champions. For submachine guns, the best option is to use Riskrunner as almost everything in this strike does arc damage which will activate this weapon's perk.

And lastly, for the heavy slot, you should use Anarchy exotic grenade launcher or a legendary rocket launcher like Tomorrow's Answer, or Code Duello.

Armor Mods

You can run with different mods depending on the build but here are some of the mods that we recommend in this strike:

  • Sniper Rifle Scavenger + Finder, Arc Resistance
  • Grenade Launcher Scavenger + Finder
  • Stacks On Stacks
  • Charge Harvester
  • Protective Light
  • Champions: Barrier and Overload

Fallen S.A.B.E.R. Grandmaster Nightfall Walkthrough

Startup the Fallen S.A.B.E.R. GM nightfall strike and after spawning in, head towards the first Warsat area where you fight a bunch of Fallen with four ships. Just make sure to keep your distance when Warsat is falling down as it could instantly kill you. Scan the Warsat with your Ghost and it will start the encounter. The most optimal and safe way to complete this area is to clear all the ads when they spawn and then progress through the transmission. Also, make sure you take out the turrets on each Fallen ship. Simply shooting it will destroy the turrets.

RELATED: Destiny 2: 10 Biggest Changes That Have Happened Since The Game Was Released

The next room is where you'll have to use your Well of Radiance as there will be a lot of enemies coming at you. As soon as you enter the room, place down your Well of Radiance. The first priority is to take down all the champions in the room. Use your Anarchy shots and/or Revenant super if necessary.

The next area is where you'll have to take the arc charge to disable the Arc streams. This is fairly straightforward. There will be a couple of Shanks that will spawn here, you can either wait for them at the start of the room or wait in the middle/end.

The Final Boss

The next room is the third last room of the strike. There will be both overload and barrier champions spawning in this room. So, you will have to use your Anarchy, and sniper rifles to take them down. If you're using Revenant Hunters, throw your Duskfeild grenades and then DPS the champions. The second last room is pretty much the same too. A couple of champions with a bunch of ads. Put down your Well of Radiance and you're good to go.

RELATED: Which Destiny 2 NPC Are You Based On Your Zodiac Sign?

Now comes the final boss room. Take down the Servitors that will spawn on the left and right along with the Shanks. This will start the boss encounter. The boss' health is divided into four parts. After each phase, it will go into the immune phase which will spawn a couple of Servitors that you would need to take down. Place down your Well of Radiance right behind the small box that will appear once the encounter starts. This will be your cover when doing the first DPS phase. Use your two Anarchy shots and sniper ammo for the DPS.

A Servitor champion will spawn in after the first DPS phase. Take it down and repeat the process. Keep in mind that the boss' sniper rifle will one-shot you, so stay behind the cover. You will need to repeat this process three more times to completely take down the boss and complete the Fallen SA.B.E.R. Grandmaster Nightfall strike.
