Normally, I watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians on West Coast time, an inconvenience I console myself about by remembering that it's the time zone the Kardashians themselves probably watch on too. (I wish I were kidding.) But last night, I made special arrangements to watch the East Coast feed of the season-11 finale, because I was positive — positive — that we'd finally get to see footage, or at least a picture, of Saint, and I didn't want to miss out on seeing it when it aired. (This is my life. These are my choices.)
But it became abundantly clear around the 40-minute mark that the show wasn't really going to get into what it had promised (details of Kim's delivery or Scott's return from rehab). And of course, there'd be no Saint. Instead, we got 40 million years on the Kendall and Kylie friction, and a trip with Kim to a dermatologist to get skin tags removed and talk about vaginal rejuvenation. Yay … ? But on we go!
No, Seriously, Corey Gamble, Please Stop Trying to Make Fetch Happen: The final Corey Gamble straw for me was seeing him sitting front row at the Victoria's Secret fashion show with Kris. First of all, Kris had claimed (while trying to explain why Caitlyn shouldn't come) that she was only going to the show because she'd be backstage, helping Kendall as her manager. Why would Corey, knowing that Kendall wanted as little fuss around her as possible, come, especially when Kylie couldn't come and was really upset about it? It just feels a little strange, especially when "Kris Jenner brings new man while Caitlyn sits several rows back!" created exactly the sort of media frenzy Kendall seemed keen on avoiding.
That said: Kendall looked amazing, and I'm glad Kylie was able to set the record straight: She didn't go because Kendall asked her not to, not because Kylie was jealous. (In all honesty, I think Kylie gets that she'd find modeling incredibly boring.) And I'm also glad that Caitlyn was able to clarify that she wanted to go for Proud Dad reasons, not to show off.
You Can't Go Home Again: Despite the fact that their Bel Air house is now finished, Kim and Kanye are still living at Kris's, because they don't want to live in that house, they want to live in the other house, which apparently won't be done until March. Rather than asking Alexa (Amazon's Siri-like device, which got some really sweet product placement early in the episode) what Airbnb is, the solution everyone came to was that Kris I guess moved out of her own house? She randomly and somewhat confusingly got a condo in a building Kim's grandparents used to live in so Kim and Kanye can continue to live in 0 percent of their homes. It's tempting to speculate about whether Kanye's debt might have something to do with all the delays, but even if he really is $53 million in debt, Kim's doing fine.
Role Model: You know who my favorite person in this episode was? The guy dining outside at the Italian restaurant where Kim and Jonathan ate, because he was straight creeping — like, shamelessly craning his neck to watch them, with his face essentially pressed against the glass. You, sir, are all of us. Runner-up: the dude at Khloé's Barnes and Noble book signing who asked if Lamar was going to be OK and seemed truly invested in what the answer was.
The answer, as we found out throughout the episode, is "kind of." We've heard for months now that Lamar's recovery is going to be a long road, but hearing some of the details Khloé shared proved just how long: he couldn't find words to talk on the phone with his kids, he needed full-time care and a home with no stairs after the hospital, and so on. I'm hoping the fact that he was well enough to travel to the Yeezy show is a sign of better times to come. (In happier news, shout-out to that blouse with the interior sideboob Khloé rocked in her talking-head interviews all season. Amazing.)
Reality TV Is Real: Some of the realest moments of the whole season played out across this episode, as Khloé's sisters gleefully recounted how wasted she was at Kris's birthday party. By Khloé's own admission, she doesn't remember the majority of the night, but she did remember how much time she spent punching dudes' junk. After talking about this for several minutes while prepping for an at-home interview, she pointed out, "We have to shut the door because I don't want the Today show to hear me talking about hitting people in the dick."

Reality TV Is Fake: Side-eyeing Kim's "water breaking" pretty hard. Most ob-gyns refer to that style of water breaking as the "Hollywood Break" for a reason: It's much more common in film or TV than real life. Most moms' waters break at the hospital, mid-labor; it's not the event that kicks labor off. (Yes, I know Kim went out of her way to point out she was already dilated, and therefore in active labor, before the water broke, but that just makes me more suspicious.) And, what, the cameras just happened to be rolling? Plus, wouldn't most moms be concerned about getting their daughter to the hospital, rather than exclaiming about how epic it all is? Then again, Kris Jenner is not most moms.
Last Words: "I feel like a struggling rapper living in my baby mama's mama's house." —Kanye, via Kim. ACCURATE, PAL.

The Kardashians' lavish St. Barts vacation continues in Season 11, episode 7 of E!'s "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." The trip was meant to serve as breakup distraction for sister Kourtney Kardashian, but with constant reminders from those back home she finds it difficult to move on. Things get worse after she and the family return home and find themselves ambushed by someone from her recent past.
After returning home from St. Barts, Kim, Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian gather for a meeting at momager Kris Jenner's home in Calabasas, California. During the meeting they are interrupted by an unexpected visitor: Kourtney's ex, Scott Disick. The father of three claims he stopped by to speak with Kris, 66, but finds himself in a sit-down with the entire family. He quickly gets emotional, telling Khloé, 30, he's at a really bad place in his life. Scott, 32, shares with the family that it has been a struggle to cope with being alone after breaking up with Kourtney, 36. He admits for the first time that he's "in the wrong."
Khloé continues to hit Scott with tough love, telling him she and her siblings wanted to be there for Scott, but he pushed them away. He the makes the shocking revelation to Kris and the Kardashians that he has never been so unhappy in his life. He goes on to say that if it weren't for his three children he would have killed himself, which brings everyone in the room to tears.
The newly single mother of three speaks about her life after Scott several times during the family's picturesque vacation. She is repeatedly texted by friends sharing photos of Scott spending time in exotic locations with various strange women. After countless texts, Kourtney admits to her family that she wishes everyone would leave her alone about Scott's dealings "unless it's an emergency." Her siblings continue to go out of their way to distract her from her ex's shenanigans. Kendall Jenner even goes as far as to set up a photo shoot with an island photographer in the hope that it will show her just how beautiful and strong she is even without Scott.
While Kourtney and Scott's post-split lives were the main focus of the episode there was no shortage of drama during the show. Tensions between Kendall and Kylie Jenner remain strong from episode 6. The youngest of the Jenner siblings continues to ignore her family in favor of one-on-one time with rapper boyfriend Tyga. Kris sits Kylie, 18, down to ask that she give her sister a moment of her time. Kylie grows angry at her mother's suggestion and storms off. Tyga, Kendall, 19, and Kris then begin talking about Kylie and her temperament, not realizing that she's sitting just feet away from them.
The trip forges on and the Kardashian family tries to make the best of their time on the island. Tyga, 25, continues to push Kylie to talk to her sister, insisting that it's the right thing to do. She finally concedes and visits Kendall in her room. She admits she hasn't been paying enough attention to her sister and apologizes, telling her it wasn't her intention to invite Tyga along and ignore her. The pair repair their relationship and move on with their trip.
In addition to the serious drama that played out during episode 7 there was a whole lot of cuteness. Kris and the Kardashian-Jenner siblings bring Mason, Penelope and Reign Disick along with cousin North West to St. Barts with them and they completely steal the spotlight. North, 2, and Penelope, 3, pal around the island sporting adorable bikinis and matching mermaid tails. Fingers crossed these cuties will make appearances in several more episodes this season.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 11: It’s a Mother-Daughter Thing
This season opened with a complete re-brand for the Kardashian-Jenner brood. For the first time in a long time, the theme tune has changed and the opening sequence completely glammed up. Last season’s episodes opened with a general montage of LA, Calabasas and the families’ houses; this new opening featured glamorous pictures of Kris, Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie side by side in thin frames, a clear change in brand. Without explicitly saying it, it made it clear that this season was about Kris and her daughters. Not Caitlyn and not Rob. Alongside this, the new tag line for the show is ‘new season new reality’, again implying a big change in the show.
This opening was all about the girls and so was the episode entitled ‘That Was Then, This is Now’, a very fitting name for this re-brand. However, it does create a few problems as the events that are being depicted actually happened in July/August. Airing these episodes in November is a little late considering that fans could and most likely would have read about these events in the tabloids or on social media as and when they happened. If you managed to put this out of your brain then the happenings of the show were actually quite entertaining.
This episode was Scott-free for the first time since one of the first seasons. It’s no secret that Scott and Kourtney have had their fair share of problems, but normally Scott remains on the show during these times. In this episode Kourtney quickly explained that she had asked Scott to move out, there is then a brief flash back of Scott moving his things but no more is shown of him, even when he visits his children at Kourtney’s house. Much like the new title sequence, this implies that the episode is focused on girls, girls, girls. Scott does seem to appear in the preview for next week so maybe there is still a chance of him appearing on the show.
This episode definitely highlighted the fact that we are watching a reality show even though sometimes things seem set up; Kendall and Kylie’s argument was definitely not scripted. Kendall had some pretty nasty things to say to Kylie when she wouldn’t share her clothes (classic Kardashians- we have seen Kim have many similar arguments with her sisters). The camera wasn’t even on Kendall when she was swearing at Kylie down the stairs so it definitely wasn’t planned by production. The pair then admitted that they were only arguing because they were so nervous about Caitlyn’s EPSY award ceremony, reminding us that they are real people with real fears and emotions, not just the perfect image that we normally see.
That brings us on to Caitlyn. Although Caitlyn only appears very briefly in the episode she seems to be constantly thought of and mentioned. Firstly there is the nervousness and preparation surrounding her ESPY award and then following that Kendall reveals that Caitlyn won’t speak to her because she has been spending time with her mum, causing a big rift between the two sides.
So even though the new title sequence suggests this show will be a mother-daughter thing, Scott and Caitlyn greatly influence the events in the episode and both feature on the preview for next week suggesting their presence will still be strong throughout the upcoming season.
