Chevy Silverado Seat Covers & Leather Seats

Katzkin Chevy Truck Seat Upholstery Kits

At Katzkin, we take great pride in making some of the best Chevy truck seat upholstery kits on the market. We manufacture our kits specifically for the year, trim, and cab style of your Silverado. We know that the majority of Chevy truck owners have bucket seats in the front, but we also make Chevy truck bench seat upholstery kits if you need them! Whatever your Chevy truck seat upholstery problems are, we can solve them for you. Once, you’ve chosen your Silverado leather seat upholstery, we’ll ship them to a high-quality installer near you. Most of our customers are incredibly happy with how their upholstery kits have been installed. But if you aren’t happy with the fit, bring your truck back and we’ll adjust them for free. Top-of-the-line Chevy truck seat upholstery kits installed by experts to your satisfaction? It’s hard to beat that!

One reason so many people love Katzkin is that the installation process is so easy and convenient. We can typically install your custom new Silverado leather seats within just 24 hours. Plus, we have installers all over the country. If you live in the west, we have a myriad of dealers in Seattle, Portland, San Diego, Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Denver. In the midwest, you can choose from Louisville, Oklahoma City, Des Moines, Kansas City, Chicago, and more. For people that live in the south, we have a lot of installers including such cities as Atlanta, Tampa, Nashville, and Charlotte. If you live in the northeast, we’ve got installers in New York City, Boston, Portland, Maine, and more. Last but not least, Texas. Whether you live in Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, or virtually anywhere else in the Lone Star State, we’ve got an installer close to you!

There are a lot of reasons to replace your cloth seats with Katzkin leather in your truck: easier to clean, myriad design options, longer-lasting, etc. Another great reason is that we stand behind all our work. We guarantee all of our work, products, and materials so you can rest assured that your new Silverado leather upholstery is going to last. If by some chance it doesn’t last and it’s our fault, we’ll fix it. The warranty is good for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Also, if you’re not happy with how your new seats fit and believe they weren’t installed correctly, please let us know and we’ll adjust them to your satisfaction.

When you buy virtually anything nowadays, you want to see the reviews first. This is even more true on bigger purchases such as leather seats for your Chevy. Finding a company with a high rating is important but it’s also critical that they have a lot of reviews. At Katzkin, we have thousands of reviews and an almost 5-star rating overall.

There are several different Chevy Silverado trim levels and more “packages” with a huge variety of options including the Z71, Rally, All-Star, and Texas editions. With so many options and trim levels to choose from, it can be confusing to know which one is best for you. Our recommendation is to decide what options and features are most important to you and focus on those.

One of the most common features many people want in their Silverado is a leather interior. Simply put, you would have to purchase at least the LTZ trim in order for your truck to come with leather from the manufacturer. But if leather or temperature seats are the most important features for you, we recommend getting an LT or RST and adding Katzkin leather. These are the two least expensive trims that come with most of the features people care about. You’ll save thousands of dollars by adding leather to a truck with a lower trim. But if you really want a truck with a sunroof, you’ll have to purchase a more expensive trim.

Here’s a quick breakdown of the different Chevy Silverado trim levels and what each one includes. This is not a comprehensive list of every feature included on all of the trims. Instead, we’re showing you some of the most commonly asked about features. The Silverado comes in eight different trim level configurations. We can replace cloth or leather seats with a variety of different product options. Even if your truck already comes with leather from the manufacturer, we can replace it with high-quality, custom leather, chosen by you.

This is the base level of all the Silverado trim levels. If you need a truck for work without any add-ons or additional features, this is a great option. It comes with the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system, 17-inch wheels, a 120-volt power outlet, Apple Carplay and Android Auto compatibility, but it lacks many of the other frills like leather seats, power seats, and a wifi hotspot.

The Custom trim comes with a 7-inch diagonal touchscreen, Bluetooth audio streaming for two devices at the same time, Android Auto and Apple Carplay compatibility, 20-inch aluminum rims, a rear window defogger, cloth seats, a wifi hotspot, and more. The Custom trim comes with the majority of features people want, with the exception of leather, and at a very affordable price.

The Custom Trail Boss is ready for off-road adventures with its 2-inch lift, 18-inch black-painted rims, Z71 off-road package, remote start, and cloth seats. This Silverado trim is a great option if you’d like to save some money at the dealership but add custom Silverado leather and temperature seats. You don’t want to be off-roading in the wild with cloth seats that trap in dirt and stains.

The LT starts to get a lot more expensive as it comes with an 8-inch touch screen, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, remote start, keyless open, push-button ignition, and wifi hotspot. However, the LT doesn’t come with leather seats so it’s another good option if you like the aforementioned options but would also like a leather interior from Katzkin.

This trim level comes with 18-inch silver-painted rims, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated steering wheel, keyless open, push-button ignition, an auxiliary power outlet, and cargo area lighting. Keep in mind that this trim level does not come with ventilated seats or leather.

The LT Trail Boss is an adventuring beast. It comes with a 2-inch lift, black-painted rims, Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires, leather-wrapped steering wheel, remote start, keyless open, push-button ignition, all-weather floor liners, Z71 off-road package, heated steering wheel, and heated front bucket seats with a center console in the front. Cloth seats are standard on this trim.

The LTZ comes with perforated leather front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a power tailgate, heated and ventilated front seats, a rear-sliding power window, rear heated seats, and much more. This is the lowest trim level that comes standard with leather seats.

The High Country is the top-of-the-line Silverado trim level so it comes with all the bells and whistles. It comes with a two-tone grill of bronze and chrome, heated and ventilated front seats, perforated leather seats, heated back seats, driver memory with two presets for the driver’s seat and mirrors, power-sliding rear window, front and rear park assist, side blind zone alert, rear cross-traffic alert, and a lot more.

North Central IllinoisI bought a new Silverado 2500HD in 2009 and got it with cloth bucket seats. The seats are very comfortable but have always been impossible to keep clean and looking nice. Just something about the material they used. I was getting an oil change one day and kind of mentioned something in passing about this to the service manager at the dealership. He kind of nodded his head and mentioned that there was a servive bulletin on that very subject. I never saw the service bulletin but long story short was that GM paid to switch the entire interior to leather. The only thing I had to pay was $200 to get the heated leather. I couldn't hardly believe it but I now have a leather interior that looks better than factory. So if anybody out there has a Chevy that is still under warranty and you don't like your seats talk to you service manager.

So IllinoisWow...that's a deal.

North Central IllinoisYeah thats kind of what I thought too.

SE NebraskaI wonder if that applies to a GMC as well?

North Central IllinoisI would think so. They usually use the same seats in both.

Lorenzo, txok i called my service guy and he said hed never heard of that. im not calling you a liar just i dont understand what happened. could you explain it to me a little better?

I searched the GM service database and found a bulletin regarding this.
If you have the ebony interior with cloth seats, it CAN be replaced with what they call a new fabric. It mentions nothing about leather and ONLY applies to the ebony option.
The replacement is also subject to authorization bt GM district service rep.

Lorenzo, txaa see im already out ive got the titanium interior

North Central IllinoisOkay I mentioned to my service manager that I was not happy with the way the seats in my Silverado cleaned up. He said give me a couple of days and let me check but I think there was a bulletin on this and I may be able to get you leather for a reasonable price. He called and said that his District Man told him that if it could not be resolved to my satisfaction by steam cleaning then GM would have leather installed at no charge to me. He kind of told me to be patient and wait a while so he could jump thru the hoops he had to to make GM happy. I think this amounted to saying that we steamed cleaned them and it did not help. After a few weeks he called and told me to come in and pick out the color I wanted. They had it for a day and a half and it turned out great. The dealership did not do it they sent it out to a local upholstery shop. There is definitely a program out there for it because I know my dealer didn't pay for it out of their pocket. I suspect it is a pretty well kept secret and a lot of service managers are going to play dumb because they don't want to "jump thru the hoops" that are necessary to get the job done. I know it sounds almost too good to be true but it wasn't in my case. They funny part was that I wasn't really pitching a big fit about just kind of mentioned it in passing. By the way if someone is considering having it done on their own it costs about $1100 for heated leather in an extended cab with buckets.

North Central IllinoisI did have the ebony interior. I think it comes down to leather because what else is available besides cloth and leather? I did not know it was just the ebony interior but that is what my truck had.

North Central IllinoisHow do they clean up for you? The Ebony ones did not clean up for s*#t in mine. I hope yours are better.

#07-08-50-018F: Excessive Lint Accumulation on Ebony Colored Cloth Seats (Replace All Seat Covers, Headrests and Armrests) - (Dec 1, 2009)

Subject: Excessive Lint Accumulation on Ebony Colored Cloth Seats (Replace All Seat Covers, Headrests and Armrests)

Models: 2007-2009 Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe

2007-2009 GMC Sierra, Yukon, Yukon XL

Equipped with Ebony Cloth Seats (RPO 19C and 19D)

This bulletin is being revised to provide updated part numbers. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 07-08-50-018E (Section 08 -- Body and Accessories).

Important: Implementation of this service bulletin by all dealers requires prior District Service Manager (DVM) (in Canada, the Warranty Manager) approval.

Some customers may comment on excessive lint accumulation on the cloth seat material. Darker colored seat fabric seems to show the condition more than lighter fabrics.

The source of the lint accumulation is not the seat fabric material. The seat material, though, exhibits a tendency to accumulate and retain lint from sources that come into contact with the fabric.

Important: All seats will need to be updated in the vehicle. Let customers with RPO 19D know that the appearance of the insert material will be noticeably different.

If the customer has ebony colored cloth seats, replace the seat covers (back and cushion), the headrests and the armrests with revised fabric. Refer to SI for the appropriate seat back and cushion cover, headrest and armrest replacement procedures.

GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See your GM dealer for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.

SW MNMost of the seat is actually a nice vinyl sept for middle back and bottom of the seat. I think Ford seats have a lot more actual leather in them.

The number to call is 1-800-222-1020. Tell them your complaint and they will open up a case for you. My case is currently ongoing, but they will try and offer you something to resolve the issue. In my case, they told me that the Engineers are working on a solution. You can accept this, but you MUST let them know that this still doesn't solve your problem and you are not happy. Otherwise they will close your case. I'm pushing to have my seats replaced with leather. I don't know that it will happen, but at least they won't close the case. If they get enough complaints, they will be forced to do something about it quickly. And quickly means replacing them with leather. They were aware of the problem with the seats before these trucks even went into production, but failed to correct the issue. Now they are regretting it. Be sure to let as many people know about the 800 number and get as many people as you can to call. The more complaints, the quicker the solution.

North Central IllinoisThe seats that I got are all leather. They came from a custom upholstery shop. GM does not offer any kit to do that conversion so it has to be done by a custom shop. I've seen that Ford seats and they are nice. I think the ones I got in my truck are almost as nice. Too bad I hate everything else about the Ford.

The shop installed the GM seat covers only. The bulletin I posted listed the GM part numbers for the replacement. I deleted them from the post to save room.
Not made by a custom shop.

What dealer did you use in Illinois. What area are you from.
